Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Pixie (the “Service”), operated by Pixie (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, uploading a photo, generating a preview, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Shipping Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who may use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old.
2. The Service
Pixie lets you upload a pet photo (or use selected artwork), receive a limited free AI preview, and purchase a digital download or a printed product (poster, canvas, or framed print). Previews are low-resolution and may be watermarked. The high-resolution, watermark-free image is generated only after payment is confirmed.
We may change styles, products, prices, rate limits, or availability at any time. We may refuse, delay, or cancel an order or generation that appears abusive, unlawful, or likely to fail quality checks.
3. Accounts and guest checkout
You may shop as a guest or create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your email, phone, and shipping details, and for keeping account credentials confidential. We may link guest orders to an account later created with the same email.
4. Photos you upload
You represent and warrant that:
- you own the photo or have permission to use it for this purpose;
- the photo is a pet image you are allowed to share, not someone else’s private photo;
- the photo does not contain illegal, sexual, violent, or hateful content, and does not infringe copyright, trademark, or privacy rights.
You grant us a limited license to store the photo, send it to our AI provider, generate previews and finals, print and ship products, perform quality control, and keep copies as needed for fulfillment, reprints, and disputes. We do not claim ownership of your original photo. We will not use your pet photo in public marketing unless you give separate permission.
If you upload content you do not have the right to use, you will indemnify us against claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from that upload.
5. AI portraits are artistic, not photographs
Generated images are artistic interpretations. They will not be an exact copy of your photo. Face shape, fur, colors, pose, background, and composition can differ. Style templates are curated; you cannot enter custom prompts.
Free previews are for evaluation only. Regeneration limits apply. After you pay, dissatisfaction with artistic interpretation is not a defect. Our Refund Policy explains when we will remake or refund a product.
6. Ownership of generated images
- Before payment, previews remain our materials. You may not remove watermarks, scrape, resell, or commercially exploit them.
- After payment, you receive a personal, non-exclusive license to the final image for personal use (display and share on social media).
- You may not resell the file, use it as a brand logo or trademark, or use it to train or produce competing AI products, unless we agree in writing.
- We keep a copy as needed to fulfill your order, handle reprints or disputes, and operate the Service.
7. Orders, pricing, and payment
Prices are in US dollars. Any Lebanese pound amount shown is a reference only and may change with the exchange rate. An order is accepted when checkout is completed. Online payments are confirmed when our payment provider (currently Whish Money) succeeds. Cash-on-delivery orders are accepted when placed, and you pay when the order is delivered. We do not store your full payment-instrument details.
We recompute prices on the server at checkout. If a displayed price cannot be honored, we will not charge you for that order. We may cancel an order if payment is reversed, appears fraudulent, or cannot be fulfilled.
8. Charity
If we display a charity contribution, it is paid from our revenue and is not added to your bill. The charity, percentage, and whether donations are active can change. Displayed messaging is not a promise that a specific organization will receive a specific amount from your order unless we state that in writing at checkout.
9. Custom products
Digital downloads and printed portraits are made to your specifications (photo, style, size, frame). They are personalized goods. Change-of-mind returns are not available. See the Refund Policy for defective or damaged items.
10. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the Service, including by attempting to bypass generation limits, overload our systems, scrape content, interfere with payments, or upload prohibited material. We may rate-limit, suspend, or ban accounts or IP addresses.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided as available. AI generation, third-party printers, couriers, and payment networks can fail or be delayed. We do not warrant that a preview will match a final print exactly, that delivery will meet a specific date, or that the Service will be uninterrupted.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Lebanese law, including liability for fraud or personal injury caused by our negligence.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including missed occasions, lost profits, or emotional distress.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon. Courts located in Beirut have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection rules require otherwise.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. The version accepted at checkout or registration (recorded as version 2026-08-14 for current orders) applies to that order or account. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms for future use.
